STRIVING FOR EXCELLENCE, IMPACT, AND CONTINUOUS LEARNING
As I navigate through the journey of life, my philosophy centers on three core principles: striving for excellence, creating a positive impact, and embracing continuous learning.
Excellence: In both my personal and professional pursuits, I am committed to excelling in my chosen field. Whether it’s my academic endeavors at Makerere University Business School or my roles as a Teaching Assistant in the Finance Department – Faculty of Commerce, Makerere University Business School, I believe in pushing myself to produce work of the highest quality. Excellence is not just a goal; it is a standard that guides my actions and decisions.
Impact: I am driven by a deep-seated desire to make a positive impact on individuals, communities, and society at large. From my work as a Teaching Assistant in the Finance Department – Faculty of Commerce, Makerere University Business School, where I empowered youth with financial literacy and entrepreneurship skills, to my leadership role at YIET, where I have been able to teach all the workload assigned to me effectively and also step in whenever there is a vacuum and emergency, carry out marking and meeting deadlines, Participating in research and research related activities, Participating in Course review – for Diploma in Accounting and Finance and giving the Finance related input components and performing any other extra duties assigned by the HOD, I believe in using my skills and knowledge to contribute meaningfully to the well- being of others.
Continuous Learning: Life is a journey of growth and development. My experiences as a Teaching Assistant in the Finance Department – Faculty of Commerce, Makerere University Business School, a research assistant for the Makerere University Business School Economic Forum, and as a student pursuing a Master of Science in Banking and Investment Management (MBI) have instilled in me the importance of continuous learning. I see each challenge and opportunity as a chance to acquire new knowledge, refine my skills, and broaden my perspective. Embracing change and staying curious are key tenets of my philosophy.
In all aspects of my life, be it professional, academic, or personal, I strive to work in environments that encourage growth and success. Surrounding myself with motivated professionals, setting strategic goals, and maintaining a high level of social responsibility are integral to my philosophy.
Languages, Hobbies, and Declaration: Beyond my professional pursuits, I value diversity and cultural understanding, as reflected in my proficiency in languages such as English, Luo, Kiswahili, and Luganda. My hobbies, including swimming, touring places, reading newspapers, conducting research, and engaging in community work, underscore my belief in a well-rounded and fulfilling life. I declare with utmost honesty that the principles outlined here reflect my true beliefs and values.
